Recidivist musical tastes

I still can’t get Echo and the Bunnymen out of my head. It’s not just because they were all over KROQ while I was in high school.

UPDATE: What did we do before Wikipedia? Wikipedia: Echo and the Bunnymen

UPDATE 2: Speaking of Rudy’s recidivism, what the heck is that Pearl Jam song “Daughter” about? Eddie Vetter is a genius, cuz the lyrics say nothing and are very short, yet he sings with such passion, you think something is about to happen.

In 1987 I moved to LA to join the YWAM staff in Lake View Terrace. I got hooked on KROQ. Coming from Florida where Lynard Skynard and Molly Hachet ruled the airwaves, KROQ was coming from a different planet. The Cure, Echo, the Pistols… Eventually we ended up spending most of my time in Hollywood working with street kids out of the Oasis (now on Hollywood and Vine). There we discovered post punk bands. A buddy started a group and began gigging at the Trubador… Met my wife during that time… Good times - crazy time to be hanging the Hollywood. I went there recentley… it’s not the same…
