YOU CAN’T BLAME THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION ANYMORE:
“You can’t blame it on the Bush administration anymore,” said John Boyd, head of the National Black Farmers Association, which has organized the lawsuits. “I can’t figure out for the life of me why the president wouldn’t want to implement a bill that he fought for as a U.S. senator.”
In fairness to any politician, there are multiple factors related to any single decision that often cannot be fully disclosed and lead to bewildering delays or changes-of-direction. This isn’t to be naive about the nature of politics. But it’s also not to say that politicians are just bad guys, self-serving, fickle with the wind, etc. You go be a politician, then come back and tell us about it. Until then…
